1. SENIOR LOGISTICS & TRADE COMP SPECIALIST ( 3237 )
• Supervise the Traffic teams / resources and provide guidance for day-to-day import and export issues
• Expediting the Import and Export shipment process from PO or Subcontract issuance through to final point of delivery
• Day-to-day Trade Compliance
• Effective liaison with freight forwarders and logistics service providers to ensure a timely, predictable and cost efficient shipping process from origin to destination (including local deliveries and pickups)
• Meet regularly with Internal and External clients to develop logistics plans, service requirements and expectations and logistics performance measurement program
• Liaise with Customs Broker / Agent for appropriate Import and Export licenses and permits required
• Review existing Import and Export procedures and amend as necessary to meet the current business needs
• Manage Customs Brokerage, Freight Forwarding and local transportation contracts with the respective service providers
• Provide advise on handling over dimensional and abnormal loads
• Ensure that a import and export log register is maintained. Information to be captured include item description, HS codes,weights, dimensions, freight costs, permits and licensing information
• Maintain shipment records in compliance with the local government regulation for record retention period
• Prepare weekly / monthly Traffic activity reports
• Maintain cordial business relationship with Shipping Lines, Airlines, Freight Forwarders, Courier Companies, Customs Brokers and Trade Consultants to ensure that McDermott is competitive in the market place
• Liaise closely with Fabrication, PMT and Marine Operations personnel to ensure that all temporary import and exports of Company and Subcontractor’s rental equipment are exported and imported into Batam incompliance with the Indonesian Government Regulations
• Liaise with freight forwarders, dangerous goods specialists and airlines/shipping lines for movement of hazmat/ dangerous goods from origin to destination
• Liaise with Legal team, HSES, QA, Business Development team, Project Engineering and Management teams, Procurement Buyers, Sub-Contract Administrators, Expeditors, Material Managers, Fabrication and Marine Operations to ensure that McDermott Internal Customers enjoy a satisfactory level of Customer Service from Traffic team
• Complete other tasks as assigned by APAC Traffic Manager
Key Requirements:
• 3 years Supervisory experience in freight forwarding or logistics company
• Successful candidate should possess strong interpersonal skills and work in a team, self motivated, independent, familiar with working under pressure environment, interact with senior manager & customer, leadership qualities.
• Must have a Microsoft office applications skill
• Strong communication skill: Indonesian and English, oral and written
